Undergraduate Research and Mentorship Opportunities
If you are an undergraduate interested in doing research in microbiology and evolution, I take on research mentees through a variety of Yale programs, including STARS, Yale College Fellowships, research-for-credit, and others.
The best way to get started is through my course EEB 075L (formerly EEB 175L), a research-based course for first-year students to learn the essentials of laboratory research while working on my authentic research questions and experiments. The course is taught in Spring semesters on Thursdays from 1:10-5pm. See EEB 175L (the previous course name) for 2018-2020 course reviews and information from my prior students. Reach out to me by email with questions about how to apply and if this is the right course for you.
See my Research page for my current research areas and recent publications.
